GDC’s The Workshops is meant to strengthen the connection between the teams of the east coast by offering community workshops from choreographers/directors from neighboring teams. Dance is meant to provide a fun atmosphere. Everybody is invited to take our workshops, so come down bring some friends and take class with us! February 7, 2010 Shoey Sun (EPIC Motion) Shoey Sun took her first dance class when she was nine and has been dancing on and off since then. It wasn’t until her freshman year at NYU that she started to take dance and training in various styles more seriously. As co-artistic of EPIC Motion, she has both performed and choreographed pieces for competitions such as Main Event, World of Dance, and Elements X. Other than performing at various events in New York and New Jersey, she has also performed in Beijing and Shanghai multiple times with J&L Dance Company. Currently Shoey is experimenting with blending hip hop and contemporary dance styles together. She is most inspired by dancing that is raw and honest and the people she dances with every day!
