I made a mistake in telling this girl I like I’d attend Ballroom Dancing lessons tonight too. How can I not go?
This question is semi-emergency-ish:
Anyway, there’s this one girl in one of my college classes whom I’ve developed a really good relationship with. I like her a lot, she’s really interesting and we have a ton of things in common. This morning, she mentioned she was going to the first Ballroom Dancing lessons, and I (stupidly) said I’d be there, too.
Not only do I not have ANY clue how to dance, I seriously don’t want to go.
We’re not even dating or anything like that, so she’ll be okay if I don’t go to it tonight, right?
Okay the best thing to do is to say “Im really sorry, but this morning when i told you that i would go to ballroom dancing it kind of slipped out and i didn’t notice, and then say i dint even know how to dance! and then say something funny and end the convo.

But whatever you do don’t lie to her!!
Pour on the charm, Samian, while telling her the truth. Women appreciate both charm and truth a great deal. Yes, I think she’ll be okay. Next time don’t let your mouth work overtime! =D
Just tell her you forgot that you have two left feet.
Be honest with her. If you are friends she should take it pretty well. After all, she was going to go before you said you would too so you wont be leaving her to go “stag”.

Why not go to the first class as they will teach you the basics, and the assumption is that you do not know how to do the classes. I have been teaching Ballroom dance for over 20 years and was assisting in classes before that. Many males who did not think that they would enjoy the classes found out that in fact it was fun. If you go to the first class and enjoy it, then you have something more in common with her. If you find that it is not your thing then you can tell her that you were curious about the classes and that it really is not your thing and that you will not be continuing.
You will learn a lot about each other if you take the lessons.
My advice, try it, if you don’t like it, then tell her that you didn’t enjoy it. But maybe you will enjoy it.
Next time don’t lie to girls otherwise you will get caught in a similar situation
If you have no intention of pursuing a deeper relationship with her, I’m sure any reasonable excuse will do, but you have to let her know beforehand, don’t stand her up if she’s expecting you. You can apologize and simply tell her you can’t make it but be sure to emphasize that if she wants to, you guys can meet up some other time.
Now, if you want to take the relationship further, you HAVE to go. It’s a perfect opportunity for you and trust me, if it’s a beginners class most guys there won’t know what they’re doing and once you get the hang of it it’s not too bad.
